Even more so than usual. It&#8217;s all because of the #ThisIsChobe Twitter Safari.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My travel daydreaming has been fuelled and encouraged dreamily by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capturingafricajourneys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stuart Parker<\/a> and his<a href=\"http:\/\/www.capturingafricajourneys.com\/project\/thisischobe\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> #ThisIsChobe<\/strong><\/a> Twitter campaign.The idea behind the hype was to get happy travellers, \u00a0Chobe tourism service providers and properties talking and sharing about the sublime Chobe region of Botswana, showcasing it as the incredible safari destination it is. Pictures, travel tales, sightings and community stories were shared, through individuals joining the Twitter conversation and using the <strong>#ThisIsChobe<\/strong> when sharing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-294 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bushbabytravelblog.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/10\/img_3732.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"IMG_3732\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bushbabyblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/img_3732.jpg 3648w, https:\/\/bushbabyblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/img_3732-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bushbabyblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/img_3732-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chobe is one of my happy places and I was naturally and giddily sucked into the Twitter safari conversation. After my three different trips to the area, I still want to go back at every chance we get. It\u2019s a special region for my husband and I too, being the destination of our first ever holiday together back when we were brand new and also part of what turned into our amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bushboundgirl.com\/saying-yes-in-botswana-a-guest-post-by-kelly-kidson\/\" target=\"_blank\">engagement holiday<\/a> last year too. Yip, Botswana has made herself very comfy in our hearts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-295 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bushbabytravelblog.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/10\/img_3381.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"IMG_3381\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thursday the 16<sup>th<\/sup> of October was the main event day for<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.capturingafricajourneys.com\/project\/thisischobe\/\" target=\"_blank\"> #ThisIsChobe<\/a>.<\/strong> An all-day \u00a0Chobe Twitter safari chat took place, with Stuart and some Chobe experts and travellers sharing pictures and tweets about what they were seeing and doing in Chobe itself that day, and making us all green with safari envy. The rest of us Chobe lovers participated from behind our screens, wherever else we were in the world, following and sharing as we went\u2026 and no doubt checking our leave calendars and plotting our next getaway to Chobe soon after all the enticement.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the chat, four easy questions were posted too and those who answered them using the\u00a0 <strong>#ThisIsChobe<\/strong> tag to enter into the competition. The prize?
